Uploaded new version at the site - direct link: gui4cli.dckk.net/20.01-Beta.zipThis version also includes the updated SciEd (which I forgot to include on the last upload) Unicode fixes: - Fixed GetFileAttributes for browser goto, ifexists etc - Corrected the search string encoding to utf8, or in case of FILE, whatever encoding the file is in (utf16, etc) - Corrected the "\#244" (example number) in a string to show the same ANSI character as before (as per code page) (Thanks Rene for the feedback) - Now you can define Unicode characters in a string with "\##10084" (double ## and Decimal value) Say "This \##10084 is a heart" - will show you a heart emoji in any system Note: A nice site for finding Unicode numbers is unicode-table.com/en/#basic-latin Be sure to use the DECIMAL value (the one shown as HTLM-code) Note also that you can just copy/paste an emoji into SciEd (set it to UTF8 mode) - Increased minimum buffer size to 1536 (3x512) to accommodate for utf8 expansion and larger paths Other: - Fixed old bug which required the force-dismounting of drives if a dir-treeview was present Dimitris

Hi Dimitris,
I've tried the 20.01 beta because some image files that contain foreign characters in the name refuse to load and leave me at a black screen.
Unfortunately this also happens in 20.01. (*)
Normally this wouldn't be an issue since my whole fotocollection does not contain names with foreign characters but this new version also affects all edboxes, which i use a lot. After saving the contents of an edbox I get the error messages: "Buffer length exceeded. Use the SET command to increase the BUFFER size, 2 bytes needed" and "Internal Gui4Cli Error, Error number 6888 General". Trying to set the buffers to the requested number has no effect; the error message always shows up even when I change it to an very high number. Despite the error messages, the contents of the edbox is saved, however when I reload the edbox most of the content has been removed and replaced by Japaneese characters. Looking very nice, but unreadable.
(*) Loading an image from the output window such as: "image load <name containing foreign characters> test" is successful but loading the same file from a listview fails.

Hi Fer,
Thanks for the feedback.
I've fixed these errors (I hope) and a bunch of other stuff. There's a lot of small tweaks still needed but I'm using it full time now.
I'll upload a beta soon, Dimitris
